Looking for Kids Christmas Crafts?

Bring some Christmas magic back into your home with some quick and easy kids Christmas crafts.
Last year we moved interstate and rented a nice little brick cottage while we searched for our new home. Many of your treasured
possessions were packed away in a storage facility. Because we moved in July the last thing on my mind was Christmas and the decorations box. Hence when Christmas rolled around and we still hadn't found our new home, it dawned on me that we had nothing to decorate the rental house with. The kids started to protest and wanted to know why we couldn't just search through all the boxes in storage in an attempt to find their favourite decorations.
At this point you need to understand that I love Christmas and have a vast collection of hand crafted Christmas items that the kids and I have made over the years. To simply replace them with some bought bits and pieces just wouldn't do. And so our dilemma!
That year I found myself very excited when the kids brought home their school Christmas crafts. They became the show pieces. We also decided that we needed to get in and have a few kids Christmas crafts afternoons and make some more things, which we did and had heaps of fun in the process. This year we are very excited to have our first Christmas in our brand new home. Unpacking our hand crafted Christmas things from storage has been an extra special event. My youngest squealed with delight as she pulled out each Santa, wall hanging and Christmas ornament. And this year we have all the extra hand made Christmas crafts from the rental house that have a special place in out hearts and memories as well.
This is the magic of Christmas. The fun and enjoyment of sharing specials times with family and friends. In the spirit of Christmas making, and in the hope that I may be able to help out some other people wanting some kids Christmas crafts , I have designed a collection of quick and easy Christmas decorations. They are inexpensive to make and you won't need to rush to the shops for supplies. The kids and I had heaps of fun making them up and I hope you will too. Click here to start enjoying them today

In the spirit of Christmas I also have a free redwork Christmas stitchery available for instant download. Take advantage of this free offer here.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and that your New Year is full of joy and happiness.
Happy Christmas and happy sewing these kids Christmas crafts.

Embroidery Workshop in Orange

I have just returned from a trip interstate to New South Wales. It's amazing how quickly time gets away. I've spent a whole week trying to catch up but the good news is I'm almost there.
During my travels I was fortunate enough to be invited to Country Pieces in Orange for an embroidery workshop.
I met some lovely ladies who all enjoy their embroidery. We started the morning with a lesson on colour wash painting and then spent the remainder of the day creating a cottage garden with combinations of embroidery stitches.
Much fun was had by all and I would like to thank Helen Knox of Country and Pieces and her friendly ladies for making me feel so welcome.
While there I couldn't help but buy a bundle of fabrics to take back home. I'm now looking forward to using them in some up coming designs.
Here's some pics of the day:

This picture is of Helen Knox and myself in front of some of her yummy fabrics.

Until next time happy stitching.
Warmly Lenna
