Two New Easter Sewing Projects

Feel like creating some Easter Sewing Projects?
With Easter a few weeks away now is the time to sew some special Easter sewing projects for your family and friends.

The good news is that both these patterns can be downloaded to your computer so that you can make a start on them today.

The first project I would like to share with you is a Redwork Bunny Bag made for my young Niece, her Mum is not big on her consuming chocolate so I thought I would send her this little bag instead. I'm sure she will find lots of other goodies that she can carry around in it.

It features a Redwork hand embroidered pocket.

The other Easter sewing project I sewed up last week is so quick and easy to make that it is ideal for beginners or kids learning how to sew.
I bought this fabric a while back. It reminds me of fabrics in the 70s which is why I named this project Vintage Bunny. Click the image for more information.

This little fellow would also look terrific in felt. I think I might send him in the post as well because my sister is pregnant with number two, very exciting news and I'm sure she would appreciate him. I have sewn 2 bells inside his body so that he tinkles when you pick him up.

Check out both these patterns and many more ideas for Easter at Stitching Cow. I enjoyed sewing both these new Easter sewing projects and I'm sure you will too.

Until next time happy Easter sewing!

Easter Craft Ideas

New
Easter craft ideas have just been added to the Stitching Cow website.

As the weather begins to cool in Tasmania I'm reminded that Easter is just around the corner. Of course it may have something to do with the fact that Easter eggs are appearing in the grocery isles and the corner shop has started to stock hot cross buns. All the signs tell me that its time to start thinking about some
Easter craft ideas for the kids and myself to make.
I have visitors coming this year and it's always lovely to have the home decorated with some handmade Easter crafts. Last year I made a collection of little bunny sewing patterns
These were heaps of fun to make and the kids enjoyed stuffing them as well. I imagine they are eager to come out of the cupboard for Easter again this year.
But you know what they say about bunnies, they tend to multiply very quickly. And with bunnies on my mind, within a few days another three bunny sewing patterns emerged. The first of these are now up on the stitching cow website, waiting for you to enjoy them.
I've designed a brown bunny sewing pattern who would make the ideal companion for a special little person. He is currently sitting here on my desk keeping me company. Dressed in a vest and scarf he is warm and cosey and would make an ideal Easter gift.
Miss Daisy Bunny as seen in Homespun magazine is also now available to enjoy. Dressed in her Sunday best with matching bloomers and handbag she will delight all those who see her. This special bunny sewing pattern gave me an opportunity to visit my Great Aunty's lace box. It is a treasure that I inherited a few years ago and it gives me much pleasure to sort through it from time to time. Within its contents I found the perfect lace for Miss Daisy's collar and bloomer trim. I think Aunty Lillian would be pleased to know that her lace lives on and is being used.
The exciting thing is that I have more
Easter craft ideas to share with you soon.
Chat then.

Creative Journal Cover

creative journal cover
An exciting new creative journal cover pattern has arrived at Stitching Cow.

Designed by Little Green Cottage, this journal cover is heaps of fun to make.

If you missed getting this pattern in the November issue of Australian Country Threads Magazine, don't worry. It's here now for you to enjoy.

The wonderful things about this fabric journal cover is that it is very inexpensive to make.

The idea for this project came from my artistic daughter who is often found sketching on small pieces of paper.
Read about the movie inspiration that gave both of us the idea for this pattern posted on my Little Green Cottage blog

Looking at this project currently on my desk it is wonderful to see it bulging with all manner of things. Let me open it up....

Gosh it has sketches of flowers done in black ink (these are very good), some amazing Japanese paper, some stamped images, scraps of cardboard, some yummy sheets of paper from Frankie magazine, some gold paper taken from a Ferraro Roche...(HUMMM wonder where she got that from) and some painted pictures, I could go on an on. Honestly I have only just scraped the surface!

The main thing is that this fabric covered journal is getting lots of use.
Here are some more graphics for you.
This shows the embellishment of the inside front pocket.
